You will come

To visit us

And your holy, divine coming

Saint Monica

Exemplary Mother of the great Augustine,

you perseveringly pursued your wayward son

not with wild threats

but with prayerful cries to heaven.

Intercede for all mothers in our day

so that they may learn to draw their children to God.

Teach them how to remain close to their children,

even the prodigal sons and daughters who have sadly gone astray.

Saint Joseph the Worker

Blessed St. Joseph, patron of all working people, obtain for me the grace to labor in a spirit of penance for the atonement of my many sins. Help me to be conscientious in my work so that I may give as full a measure as I have received. May I labor in a spirit of thankfulness and joy, ever mindful of all the gifts I have received from God that enable me to perform these tasks. Permit me to work in peace, patience, and moderation, keeping in mind the account I must one day give of time lost, talents unused, good omitted, and vanity of success, so fatal to the work of God. Glorious St. Joseph, may my labors be all for Jesus, all through Mary, and all after your holy example in life and in death. Amen.

Vocation Prayer

Mary, O Blessed One of the Most High, your Servants, turn to you on their pilgrimage to your Son and in their task of proclaiming Him to the world.

By the example of your fiat they have learned to receive the word of God and to be attentive to the promptings of the Spirit. From your share in the redemptive missions of your Son they have learned to understand and lessen human suffering.

I pray, that through your intercession, the young people of today may answer the call to sreligious life as a servant of Mary and a life of service that has so inspired them throughout the centuries.

May they choose to live a life rooted in baptismal consecration, expessed in religious profession, and voluntarily undertaken to fulfill the commandment of love.

I present this petition to you in the name of Jesus Christ , your Son. Amen

Strengthened by God’s grace,

You did not hesitate,

Even at the age of eleven,

To shed your blood

To sacrifice life itself

To defend your virginal purity.

Deign to look graciously

On the unhappy human race,

Which has strayed far

From the path of eternal salvation.

Teach us all,

And especially the youth,

With the courage and promptness

We should flee anything

That could offend Jesus.

Obtain for me

From God a great horror of sin,

So that, keeping my soul undefiled,

I may live a holy life on earth

And win eternal glory in heaven.
